About this event
Don't register here but do use the link you will get in an email. Hugelkulture beds – an adaptation of the mid-European concept of mound culture – involves piling up woody plant debris; covering it with compost, manure or other organic material; and planting in the middle of it. As the years pass, the soil deepens and becomes incredibly rich and loaded with soil life. ML Altobelli has researched aspects of hugelkulture and nutrient dense farming for ways to use excess manure and scrap wood to create high quality vegetable and flower gardens. Little maintenance is required and soil nutrients are maximized to create truly healthy plants and plant roots that lead to the most nutrient-dense food possible.
